Tidak banyak orang tahu kalau Kangxi sangat tertarik pada kekristenan. Dan bahkan dia menuliskan beberapa puisi ungkapan isi hati dan pernyataan imannya terhadap Kristus.
Berikut ini adalah tulisan tangan Kangxi yang menuliskan puisi tentang imannya
天上宝日月星辰，
The treasure of heaven is ： Sun, Moon and Stars 地上宝五谷金银
The treasure of earth : crops, gold and silver 国需宝正直忠臣，
The treasure of a kingdom is to have righteous loyal officials 家需宝孝子贤孙
The treasure of a family is to have descendants with piety. 黄金白玉非为宝，
Gold, silver and jade are not that precious 只有生命一世闲
Only life is the most precious 百岁三万六千日，
Hundred years and thirty thousand days old 若无生命最可怜
If have no life then it’s miserable 来时糊涂去时亡，
Coming and going in life 空度人间梦一场
Life is like a dream 口中吃尽百和味，
Have tasted the best food in life 身上穿成朝服衣
And have worn the best imperial clothing 五湖四海为上客，
Life is only passing by, 如何落在帝王家
And no exception even if you’re an emperor 世间最大为生死，
Life is about to live and die 白玉黄金也枉然
Jade and gold will not be able to satisfy 淡饭清粥充一饥，
Even plain rice and thin porridge can satisfy hunger 锦衣那着岁千年
No garment can be worn for thousand years 天门久为初人闭
Heaven’s gate closed because of the first man’s sin 福路全是圣子通
The salvation is only on the Holy Son (Jesus) 我愿接受神圣子， I am willing to receive the Son of God 儿子名分得永生
Accepting the Son will receive the eternal life
